Assessing the Underworld

 

The Assessing the Underworld project followed on from the Mapping the Underworld project.  The main output at Leeds was a prototype Decision Support System (DSS) for street works. TheDSS integrates data from mulitple sources (e.g. utilities, weather, Highways England, BGS...) and the uses a set of expert-curated rules to produce a qualitative risk table such as the one in the figure below.  Please contact us if you would like to know more, see a video demonstration of the system, or are interested in applying the ideas in your own domain.
